New Boat Construction
Above and below: Worked on the crew building JANICA II at A.F. Theriault & Sons Shipyard in 1988 - a 65-foot commercial fishing boat. Steam-bent oak frames, carvel planking, galvanized fastened.
Below:The Denis Sullivan is a 135-foot three-masted Great Lakes Schooner Launched in Milwaukee in 2000. Joe built bulwarks, gaff and boom jaws and mast partners in the final stages of her construction.
